MY DAD— The Dear Abby of Chalfont, PA

My parents helped me with the Team of Angels project. They set up a makeshift work area in their basement.

My father felt that everybody deserved a personal response to their letter. “Trisha, you can’t just send them a pin and a bookmark; you have to take the time to pen them a personal response.”

Although he had difficulty speaking, due to his battle with throat cancer, he enjoyed writing to multitudes of angel seekers, those with troubled relationships, those in pain, and people struggling with kids’ issues.

His words brought comfort, hope, and a personal touch
to everyone who reached out.

Long after he passed in 2001, some of his pen pals continued to write to us, grateful for the kindness and thoughtful letters he shared.

Kindness. Compassion. Connection.

That was my Dad.

TEAM of ANGELS

At 75, as a mother of four adult children and grandmother of five, I've lived a wonderfully varied life filled with different careers, projects, and passions. Yet none of my projects has ever compared to the Team of Angels Project. It is, and always will be, my favorite.

For the past 28 years, I've written more than 200 Team of Angels poems—heartfelt prayers asking God and the angels for peace, courage, strength, and comfort. Each one began as a form of journaling, a way to steady my spirit and speak honestly about life's challenges. Over time, I realized something important: the feelings behind these poems are universal.

We all face moments when we need reassurance.

We all long for hope, comfort, and connection.
