I am a soldier - military police company. I am corresponding with you in reference to the angel pins that I received from a friend of mine. Her daughter was given a large amount by you for distribution to the soldiers. I would like to thank you for your wonderful gift. When I first saw them I realized that the efforts of my soldiers and me have not gone unnoticed, for there are those who continue to care about us. We understand that our families care and they always will and we probably take that for granted. But when people whom we have never met, display a sense of caring toward us, that makes us believe in our cause. It also makes us appreciate those around us even more. I have been in the service of my country for over sixteen years. Spent untold birthdays, Christmases, anniversaries, and other special moments away from my family. I cannot count the months that I have spent away from the ones I love. I, and those like me have chosen the noblest profession in the world, the defense of our country. We have freely given up many of the rights that others take for granted so that we can serve. Some of the people we have sworn to protect do not give us the credit or respect that all military members deserve. That is the hardest thing to accept. For when we enter a foreign country and are received with warmth and compassion, despite the circumstances, it is still welcome. When we are better received by those not of our own country, it tests our resolve. Then one day when we receive a small gold pin with a Team of Angels on it, the symbol or worth and purpose is returned. For we truly are a team. The soldiers, our families and those we serve are unknowingly united for the same cause. Again, I want to thank you for the gift of faith and hope. We truly are a Team of Angels.
A few words to tell you how impressed I was with your wonderful gesture. Angels mean so much to people in today's world of violence, immorality and all of the evils that seem to be everyday occurrences. Perhaps one day soon we will get back to neighbor loving neighbor, clean language, and television shows that all ages can view without worry. I am hoping that I will have the opportunity to get one of your angels tomorrow. I am actually hoping to get a few for family and friends who do not live in the area.
My brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and on his 71st birthday he died. It was a couple of weeks after the funeral that I saw your picture and the article in the Bucks County Courier. I immediately thought of his wife and all she had been through, four months of all day, every day, sitting by his side, and decided to attempt to find your house. I spent a couple of hours in and out of developments, to no avail. Today, while cleaning out an old desk, I found the map I had searched for and found Holly Hill Road - two weeks too late. I would be most appreciative if I could have one for her. If I could, I would be happy to come by and pick it up, or if it would be easier, please mail.
I recently found the "Team of Angels for the Loss of a Loved One." I am a member of a group called Patriot Guard Riders. Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. We go to show respect and honor our fallen heroes, their families and communities. I purchased some of the Team of Angels with the poem for the loss of a loved one to give to these families. I just stumbled across your product and found it to be perfect. So perfect that a tear rolled down my cheek when I first looked it over and read it. I knew right away how much this would mean to families. I gave one to a mother and a wife at a viewing this week. The next morning the mother was wearing her Team of Angels pin when she arrived for the funeral. Later in the week, another funeral took place, again angels were given. I want you to know that this product gives comfort and aid to the grieving family. It has meant so much to the families that have received them.
I was very touched by the fact that you donated 5000 pins to deployed soldiers and their families. My husband is in the army and we are stationed in Germany. I was the company's Family Support Group leader for a few months, so I know the effects of deployment and military life on the soldiers and their families. People who aren't associated with the military don't understand all that the soldiers and families go through. People think they only do things when something major happens, and it is all over the news. But our troops are still being sent to Bosnia, Hungary, Albania, etc. and we don't really hear much about people sending things to the troops, just to the people in major war countries. So it was so nice to know of someone thinking of our soldiers. They go through so much more than you can imagine on a daily basis. They are very brave and I respect them so much. I know your pins and poems brightened their day more than you will ever know.
I was going through radiation therapy for breast cancer and each day as I was waiting to get done, I talked to a woman. I was having problems that my blood count dropped so low that they would have to stop treatments for several days at a time. Instead of taking five weeks, it took ten weeks to complete treatment. On her last visit she gave me one of your Team of Angels pins along with a copy of the poem. To this day, I still wear the pin. If you could also spare an extra card with the poem, I would appreciate it. I always kept mine next to my bed and somehow I misplaced it. Now, my aunt is beginning treatments for breast cancer. Would you kindly send me a pin for her?
I live in Heidelberg, Germany. My husband and dad work at the Army Hospital. We are well aware of the need for spiritual and emotional care for our troops and their families. I have many friends whose husbands, wives, co-workers, etc. have been deployed. I would like to help your effort to distribute your pins as much as possible. As a member of AA for almost 24 years, (wonderful years I might add) I have kind of become the den mother of our Tuesday night group. Over the years, I've seen many newcomers, some have made it, and sadly many have not. When I first came into AA, at the one-year celebration, you were given a butterfly as a token of your new freedom. When my wonderful mother died, I was given your angels for support. Now, when I have the opportunity to recognize a newcomer with that all-important first year of sobriety, I would like to give them a Team of Angels pin.

From a Gold Star Mother - I have just lost two sons less than three months ago and I needed your Team of Angels so much. The verses of the poem fit the bill to a T. I lost my 45-year-old son to a massive heart attack. I lost my 46-year-old son to pulmonary disease. I also lost my oldest son to cancer. I lost another son in the Vietnam War on December 27, 1971. Thank goodness, I have two others left - a son and daughter.
Enclosed is a check for the extra angels you gave me the Friday we visited you. My daughter had the two children in the gold car. I wanted you to know why your program is so meaningful to me. Two years ago, my grown daughter was diagnosed with cancer, extensive, fast moving, everywhere. She had less than six weeks to live and the family and friends were totally devastated and shocked. She died with all of us at her bedside, but it was the worst thing we ever had to deal with.
My son took my husband's cowboy hat and put the angel pin on it and to this day, it has not been moved. I ordered more pins and have given them to friends and family who have lost children also. My husband's pin is broken, but he will not take it off his hat. I needed a Team of Angels because one was not enough. Thank you so much.

I am currently incarcerated until sometime next year or when the Lord opens my doors. My young daughters are going through some emotional times and I would like very much to send them your angels to let them know that they have not only a guardian angel, but a special "Team of Angels." I am so happy I saw the little write up about your angels. I decided to make it my project for 2000 to hand them out to people in church who are in need of healing. Everyone is very pleased with them. The only negative is that I have had to give out so many because so many people are undergoing cancer treatments and overwhelming crises in their lives. I would like to thank you for your angel pin creation. It is just what one needs when they are truly down and need a quick pick-me-up. This is just one of the horrors of this disease. It is a horrible disease and she is taken back and forth to the hospital. My mother who is 85-years-old, has been depressed for some time, due to the neglect of not being remembered by her grandchildren. I am a chaplain in the US military stationed in a war zone. I thought that it would be a wonderful gesture to give to our soldiers' spouses - a Team of Angels to protect their loved ones while they were separated during this deployment. My mother gave out in the hospice unit at Chandler Hall. After my mother died, a nurse saw that an angel pin remained in the room on the bulletin board. I had put it there for my mom. A few months went by and they were speaking of my mom in the nurses' office. When one nurse went by the room, the angel pin was on the floor many steps away from where it had been on the bulletin board. Now how did that happen? But we know, don't we? These pins are magical and you are too.
I gave pin to a friend who has son who has cancer. She, at some point, passed her angel pin along to someone she thought needed one too. She regretted doing that because her son's condition worsened, and she wished she had it back.

The reason that I am writing to you at midnight is for my coworker. I read about the angels in Family Circle magazine. She had a very bad car accident two days ago. Seniors Send Thoughts, Packages to Wounded Soldiers
Patricia Gallagher desperately needed help getting 450 "Team of Angels" care packages together for their voyage to a military base in San Antonio, Texas. Residents of Upper Perkiomen Manor, who volunteer with RSVP, assembled angel pin packages with Patricia's help, bound for Lackland Air Force Base. Betty said it was a different kind of volunteer project for them, and that she hoped recipients would feel great, just as she did. A grandmother whose grandson was killed in Iraq the previous April said she appreciated the project and all of the soldiers who would receive them, hoping it would give them some hope. Lilli said she hoped they would enjoy them and know the volunteers were with them, and that it kept them busy while they prayed for the soldiers to come home soon.

A Philadelphia newspaper covered Patricia's visit to San Antonio to see Brooke Army Medical Center, Wilford Hall Medical Center, and Audie Murphy Veterans Administration Hospital. For the trip, she teamed up with the organizer of Laptops for the Wounded from Cody, Wyoming, with a shared goal of boosting morale among hospitalized service members and their families.
Local Mom Supports Troops with her Team of Angels
Patricia, a former Montgomery County instructor for a women's program called New Choices, started by attaching a few angel charms to a safety pin she wore herself. She began making more pins at her kitchen table and giving them away, encouraging recipients to pass them along to others in bad situations. Demand grew until she had the pins manufactured, and they spread from cancer support groups and troubled teens to troops requesting them from military bases around the world, even Albania.
Another headline read: "Angels visit military installations."
